MySQLi

MySQLi is an improved (the i stands for " Improved ") extension of PHP for accessing MySQL databases. In contrast to the original variant, which is no longer offered since PHP 7.0, it can be used not only procedurally , but also object-oriented . An important advantage is that, with the help of so-called prepared statements , SQL injection can be prevented attacks.
