Myoma Enucleation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a myomectomy is defined as the removal of fibroids from the uterus while preserving the same.

This organ-preserving procedure is used for complaints in the uterus (pain, bleeding disorders) caused by myomas, as well as if you want to have children. The operation can be performed with an abdominal incision , but also with a laparoscopy or hysteroscopy (uterine mirror image ). The choice of procedure is mainly based on the location and size of the myoma nodes.

If family planning is complete, alternatives would be complete or partial removal of the uterus ( hysterectomy ) or uterine artery embolization .
