Myriam Gleijer

Myriam Gleijer (born November 10, 1940 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan actress , lecturer and theater director .

education

From 1961 to 1964 she attended the drama school of the Teatro El Galpón . She also went through singing and dance training. In 1996 she also took part in a workshop given by the dean of the Moscow Drama Faculty, Valentin Tepliakov .

Artistic career

In more than 45 plays, she stood on the stage (as of 2003) and starred in the films La mala racha directed by Daniela Speranza , Llamada para un cartero director Brumel Pomerenk and 2008 Beatriz Flores Silva -Werk Masangeles with. She was also often in front of the camera for advertising. In 2000 and 2001 she also worked as a director for the theater group Maimonides , whose theater workshop she leads as a lecturer. Gleijer was also a lecturer at the drama school of the Teatro de Carlos Aguilera and at the Teatro Macció in San José . She also oversees the theater workshops run by the Uruguayan Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC).

Awards

In 1995 she was one of three nominees for the Premio Florencio for Best Supporting Actress. She was also nominated for the Tabaré TV Prize for Best Actress that year. In 2001 she finally won the Premio Florencio for her role in El sueño y la vigilia by Juan Carlos Gene .
