Myrmecia chasei is a species of ant in the bulldog ants subfamily(Myrmeciinae) thatis nativeto Australia . The settlement area of Myrmecia chasei comprises the south-eastern areas of Western Australia .

Worker ants grow to around 12-15.5 millimeters in size, but they can also get larger. Queen ants are 22–24 millimeters tall. This species can be recognized by its black head and brown legs and antennae. The thorax is bright red.
