The Näfenhaus
Weiler Näfenhäuser, the Näfenhaus is the timber frame house in the center of the picture

The Näfenhaus stands on the former Sennhof (today the hamlet of Näfenhäuser) of the Kappel monastery . After the Second Kappel War in 1535, the farm was given to Adam Näf as a handle , as he was instrumental in saving the main banner of the Zurich troops.

Adam Näf's sword and the rescued banner are kept in the Swiss National Museum in Zurich. A copy of the fiefdom is in the State Archives of the Canton of Zurich .

In the Näfenhaus is the Näfenstube, a museum room that provides information about the Kappeler Wars and the Näf family. Today the house is owned by the Naef Family Foundation.
