Non-Domestic Substances List

The Non-Domestic Substances List (NDSL) is part of Canada's chemicals legislation. It is the counterpart of the Domestic Substances List and, in contrast to it, contains those substances that are on the market in countries outside Canada (de facto in the USA), but not in Canada itself. For new substances, that is, those that are If they are not listed on either the DSL or the NDSL, the most extensive requirements apply if they are to be registered in Canada. For substances that are listed in the NDSL, the requirements are usually significantly lower.

The NDSL list is based on the US TSCA list.
