NEOS - My Southern Carinthia - Moja Južna Koroška

NEOS - Mein Südkärnten - Moja Južna Koroška is an electoral alliance that NEOS formed for the Carinthian state election 2018 together with Mein Südkärnten - Moja Južna Koroška. The latter is in turn an alliance of the unity list (EL) with some groups of voters from southern Carinthia .

The EL has worked with liberal parties in the past. 1998-99 was Karel Smolle on the list of the Liberal Forum (LiF) in the National Council represented and parliamentary elections in 2008 was Rudi Vouk LiF leading candidate in Carinthia. The EL chairman from 2014, Gabrijel Hribar, tried to change the EL from a minority party to a regional party, on the one hand to appeal to voters outside the Carinthian Slovenes , on the other hand, because a functioning region is also important for the development of the minority. With this in mind, the collaboration between EL and South Carinthian electoral groups in 2017 resulted in the Mein Südkärnten alliance , which immediately decided to work with NEOS. A joint list was submitted for election and ran in all four constituencies. The top candidate was Markus Unterdorfer-Morgenstern, a sister-in-law of Thomas Morgenstern . Second on the list was Hribar. With this electoral alliance, Hribar defied a decision of the EL national assembly.

The list received 6,307 votes or 2.14% in the election and thus failed because of its entry into the Carinthian state parliament .
