Karl Smolle
Karl Smolle , also Karel Smolle (born September 2, 1944 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian politician, former member of the Austrian National Council and court interpreter .
Smolle founded the literary magazine mladje together with Florjan Lipuš and Erich Prunč in Klagenfurt in 1960 . In 1965 he brought out his only volume of poetry and then turned to politics. Smolle was best known for representing the interests of the Carinthian Slovenes , u. a. as chairman of the Council of Carinthian Slovenes (NSKS) .
He represented the Greens from December 17, 1986 to November 4, 1990 and the Liberal Forum from June 2, 1998 to October 28, 1999 in the National Council. He is the former Honorary Consul of the Republic of Slovenia in Austria.
