NORLA
The NORLA (North German Agricultural Exhibition) is an annually at the fairgrounds in Rendsburg by the fair Rendsburg GmbH executed fair for agriculture .
history
The trade fair was opened for the first time in 1949 on the Rendsburger Nordmarkplatz (today: Willy-Brandt-Platz) as an “agricultural show”, and in 1961 around 200,000 visitors were recorded. In the same year the fair moved to the new 16 hectare exhibition grounds south of the Kiel Canal . It is supplemented every year by the national animal show and the focus on agricultural technology.
In 1996 the decision was made to only allow the fair to take place every other year. In 1999 this decision was reversed and the fair takes place every year.
In the last few years, NORLA has oriented itself more and more towards the consumer fair.
In 2018, at the 69th NORLA, the main topic was agricultural technology. On 130,000 m 2 more than 570 exhibitors showed the product areas agriculture , agricultural technology , animal breeding , animal husbandry , nutrition , renewable energies , forestry , hunting , horticulture , municipal technology and consumers . Clubs, associations and interest groups from these areas were present at the fair.
