Andreas von der Meden (born January 10, 1943 in Hamburg ; † April 26, 2017 ) was a German actor , dubbing and radio play speaker . In addition, he worked as a dubbing director and dialog book author. At the age of twelve, von der Meden was the drummer for the Oimel Jazz Youngsters from Hamburg. He then played the banjo and guitar as a soloist in several North German jazz bands. In the early 1960s he became a member of the Berlin formation Spree City Stompers . From 1969 on, von der Meden belonged to one of the most famous Dixieland bands in Germany, the Old Merry Tale Jazzband , since 1984 under the direction of Addi Münster .

Private life

Von der Meden was married to Brigitte Böttrich and lived in Hamburg. His brother is the actor and voice actor Tonio von der Meden . Andreas von der Meden died on April 26, 2017 at the age of 74.
