The rail tractor of the NSB Skb 209 series was used by Norges Statsbaner ( German  Norwegian State Railways ) in Norway from 1943 . The locomotive was used for smaller transport tasks and for shunting on connecting railways and in train stations.

history

Levahn Mek. Verksted in Oslo built the locomotive as a one-off in 1943. When it was delivered, it was equipped with a petrol engine and had a large, tin-clad driver's cab. The inside of the cab was made of wooden boards.

NSB Skd 209

The locomotive was equipped with a diesel engine in 1968 . This changed the series designation to Skd .

Use and whereabouts

In the last few years of operation, the locomotive was to be found in the Alnabru skiftestasjon station, after being decommissioned it was parked in Grefsen .
