The Norwegian steam locomotive series NSB Type 10 was ordered on October 20, 1875 as a series of four locomotives from Nydqvist och Holm in Trollhättan , Sweden . The locomotives with serial numbers 73 to 76 were delivered in 1876. They have been given names: 49 "Loke" , 50 "Njørd" , 51 "Ymer" and 52 "Forsete" . It was not used until the Oslo – Kornsjö railway line (Smaalensbanen - SB) opened on January 2, 1879.

NSB type 10a

The locomotives received a front running axle around 1884 and thus the 1'C-2 wheel arrangement. The conversion was connected to the classification as series 10a .

Locomotive 10a 50 was taken out of service from the first locomotive of the series on April 21, 1914, the last locomotive was locomotive 10a 52 on February 10, 1923. None of the locomotives remained.
