As the Norwegian steam locomotive series NSB Type 8a , two tank locomotives built in 1884 by Krauss & Comp. in Munich with the serial numbers 1411 and 1412 for the Trondheim – Storlien (Merakerbanen - MB) railway line .

history

The two locomotives were used with road numbers 58 and 59 on the state Merakerbane from 1884. Therefore they got a plate with MB on the driver's cab as a license plate .

In 1910 they received new serial numbers, the 58 became 118 and the 59 became 119. From July 1, 1920 they were used from the Trondheim district.

Locomotive 8a 118 was parked in 1928 and taken out of service on October 20, 1933, and 8a 119 on July 19, 1928. Both locomotives were scrapped.
