The Nassfeldhaus

The Naßfeldhaus is a former alpine club hut at an altitude of 1513 meters , which is located in the part of the Carnic Alps that belongs to the Austrian state of Carinthia . The house is located in the eastern part of the small town center of Sonnenalpe Nassfeld and is located directly on Nassfeld Strasse , a little below the Nassfeld Pass .

history

The Naßfeldhaus was built in 1970 by the Hermagor OeAV section, making it the fifth hut with this name. With the expansion of the ski area near Nassfeld, the hotel village Sonnenalpe Naßfeld was created around the Naßfeldhaus . Compared to the standards of the tourist infrastructure facilities created with it, the Naßfeldhaus was then able to hold its ground less and less despite several financially expensive renovation measures. The Naßfeldhaus was sold in 2000 and has been operated as a private hotel ever since.
