Pinprick

Needle stitch denotes:

  • generally any stitch made with a needle
  • in artisanal sewing, the stitch to connect fabrics with a seam
  • in medical sewing, the stitch to unite the tissue through a seam, see sewing (medicine)
  • in occupational medicine also a stab injury with sharp objects that was contaminated with blood or other body fluids, see needlestick injury
  • when painting surfaces, small holes or accumulations of holes in the paint, see pinprick (paint)
