Naftemporiki

The Naftemporiki (H Ναυτεμπορική, roughly: The Schifffahrts-Handelsblatt) is a daily Athens business newspaper and the most important daily newspaper in Greece in the shipping sector .

history

It first appeared on April 4, 1924 under the name Ναυτικόν καὶ Ἐμπορικὸν Δελτίον Naftikon ke Emporikon Deltion (Shipping and Trade Anzeiger) in Piraeus . During the German occupation, the newspaper continued to exist, but no edition could appear. Another issue appeared on March 8, 1945; With the edition of August 8, 1948, the name was simplified to Naftemporiki and the newspaper format changed to 0.35 × 0.25.

Today the newspaper is the official information sheet of the Athens Stock Exchange and also has a large cultural section.
