Nail nippers

Nail nippers

The nail clipper is a device for cutting the toenails and fingernails .

It is preferred for powerful cutting of thicker nails. In contrast to nail scissors, this is not achieved using shear cutting , but using wedge cutting . The longer pliers arms ensure that a good leverage effect is achieved in the transmission of force, and the application of force itself is also facilitated by the fact that the pliers can be enclosed with the whole hand. So that you don't have to change your grip after a cutting process to open the closed pliers again, many nail nippers have an elastic spring or clip between the pliers arms, which re-deforms when there is no pressure and spreads the pliers again.
