The Urban Nagoya University ( Jap. 名古屋市立大学 , Nagoya Shiritsu daigaku ; Engl. Nagoya City University , in short: NCU ) is one of the Japanese city of Nagoya supported university.
The main campus (Sakurayama) with the university hospital is located in Mizuho-ku, Nagoya. There are also three other campuses within the city.
history
The university was created in 1950 through the merger of the renowned Pharmacological University (founded in 1884) and the Medical School for Women (founded in 1943). In 1964 the Faculty of Economics was founded.
