Name That Tune
Name That Tune was a television show that first aired in the United States in 1953. Two candidates each competed against each other to identify the title and artist of a song. The first person to guess was who named the lowest number of notes to be played in a duel between the two candidates. An orchestra then played the appropriate number of notes, sometimes just the first note.
In Germany, the program was shown in English on cable television on SuperChannel in the 1980s . A German version of the broadcast format ran on Vox under the name Hast Du Töne? , moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel .
