Nana Ato Arthur
As Regional Minister of the Central Region in Ghana, Nana Ato Arthur is one of the country's leading politicians. President John Agyekum Kufuor appointed Arthur as regional minister in 2005. Arthur is also mayor of Cape Coast , making him a political heavyweight in the region. Arthur is a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Arthur is also on an eight-member committee that reviews the conditions in the regional prisons over a four-year period. This Regional Prisons Committee is chaired by Arthur.
