Nanumba

The Nanumba (also: Nunuma , Nanuni ) are a people of around 52,000. Members in Ghana . The Nanumba use a dialect of the same name that is part of the Dagbani language , the language of the Dagomba . The districts of Nanumba North District and Nanumba South District were named after the Nanumba in the Northern Region . The Nanumba live between the White Volta and Oti rivers north of the Volta reservoir .

The Nanumba still have a bloody conflict with the Konkomba people to this day . These conflicts include a dispute over the distribution of the land. Gonja and Dagomba are also involved in this conflict .
