Naoki Chiba ( Japanese 千葉 直樹 , Chiba Naoki ; born July 24, 1977 in Miyagi Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Chiba learned to play soccer on the Tohoku Gakuin High School school team . He signed his first contract in 1996 with Brummel Sendai (today: Vegalta Sendai). The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Football League . In 2001 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League . At the end of the 2003 season, the club rose again from the J2 League. In 2009 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose again to the J1 League. For the club he completed 430 games. At the end of 2010 he ended his career as a football player.
