Naotake Hanyū ( Japanese 羽 生 直 剛 , Hanyū Naotake ; born December 22, 1979 in Chiba , Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese former football player .

Career

During his youth, Hanyū played for Yachiyo High School from 1995 to 1997 and at Tsukuba University from 1998 to 2001 .

The 1.67 tall midfielder began his professional career in 2002 with JEF United Ichihara Chiba , where he was under contract for five years. For the club he completed 165 league games and scored 25 goals. His next stop was FC Tokyo , where he was also active for five years. He scored ten times in 123 league games. After these five seasons, he moved to Ventforet Kofu in 2013 and played 20 times in the league without scoring a goal. He has been under contract with FC Tokyo since 2014 and played 21 league games for the club in 2014.

National team

From 2006 to 2008 Hanyū was part of the Japanese national soccer team , for which he played 17 international matches.
