  • Masanari ( 正 成 ; 1567-1625), the eldest son, received after the battle of Sekigahara Kurihara in Shimousa province with an income of 34,000 Koku . His eldest son and his descendants lived there until the end of the Tokugawa period . In 1868 the chief received the daimyo rank, after the Meiji Restoration the title vice count.
  • Yukinari ( 之 成 ; 1696–1634), his second son, received Kurihara with 15,000 koku in 1616, which passed with his death to his one-year-old son Yukitora ( 之 虎 ), who died in 1639, whereby the fief fell back to the shogunate .

In the great Nobi earthquake in 1891, the remains of Inuyama Castle were destroyed and the castle tower was badly damaged. The state then returned the facility to the Naruse family with the condition that the castle tower be repaired. As an exception, the castle came into private ownership.
