Wet cleaning (also WetCare ) is a process that is intended as a replacement for classic chemical cleaning with perchlorethylene and other solvents . It was developed in 1991 by the Kreussler company together with Miele and is also known as the LANADOL process (Miele System Kreussler) .

The procedure is intended for professional use. It requires specialist knowledge and careful work. The process uses few chemicals, so that the wastewater can flow directly into the sewer system.

The method also enables the treatment of woolen knitwear or silk articles intended for hand washing.
