Greenshirts

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Greenshirts ( Irish Na Léinte Glasa , German: Die Grünhemden ) were called the members of Eoin O'Duffy's fascist National Corporate Party (abbreviation NCP, Irish Páirtí Náisiúnta Corparáidíoch ). In 1936, O'Duffy led a volunteer brigade , the Irish Brigade , on Franco's side in the Spanish Civil War . After returning from Spain, O'Duffy retired from politics. As a result, the Greenshirts and the National Corporate Party also disappeared.
