National Firefighters Memorial

The National Firefighters Memorial is a memorial on Jubilee Walkway south of St Paul's Cathedral in the City of London . The monument was unveiled by Queen Elizabeth II on May 4, 1991.

The design by Cyril Demarne was made by John W. Mills . It shows three firefighters in action. It is reminiscent of The Blitz , during which London was bombed by the German Air Force on 57 consecutive nights .
