Mental Health America

Mental Health America (formerly known as the National Mental Health Association ) is a non-profit organization from the United States , headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia .

The organization was founded in 1909 by Clifford Whittingham Beers (autobiography: A Mind That Found Itself ). The organization is dedicated to helping people suffering from mental illness and promoting mental health. The organization is affiliated with more than 320 other organizations in the United States.

In 2007 the study Reveals Latino Parents' Views on Bullying, Sexual Orientation and Prejudice was published.
