National Military Command Center

The National Military Command Center ( NMCC , German  National Military Command Center ) is located in the Pentagon and houses the logistical and communications technology center of the National Command Authority of the United States . The facility, which consists of several individual work, planning, and conference rooms, is the operational control center of the United States Department of Defense . It is not directly necessary to conduct a nuclear strike , but it is an important communications and operations center in Washington, DCIn addition, the NMCC was the American terminal of the hot line between the Soviet Union and the United States.
