The Nationale Alarmzentrale ( NAZ ; French Centrale nationale d'alarme , Italian Centrale nazionale d'allarme ) is an organization of the Swiss Confederation for extraordinary events, especially those associated with the release of radioactive material. It is based in Zurich and is responsible for assessing the threat situation and has the authority to order measures to protect the population.

The NAZ has a small core area of ​​permanent employees as well as an army staff section (Astt) of the Swiss Army , which consists of specialists who can be militarized and ensures perseverance in exceptional situations.
