NADAM
The NADAM ( network for automatic dose alarming and measurement ) is the measuring network for gamma radiation of the National Alarm Center (NEOC) in Switzerland.

NADAM consists of 76 measuring probes distributed relatively evenly in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. These transmit the current measured value every 10 minutes. All probes are installed at MeteoSwiss measuring stations . It is also responsible for the maintenance and data transfer to the NEOC.
The measuring network is supplemented by the compact MADUK stations ( measuring network for automatic dose rate monitoring in the vicinity of the nuclear power plants ) of the Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate (ENSI) as well as measuring equipment from the Federal Office of Public Health and, if necessary, from the army. MADUK consists of 57 total automatic measuring probes, all in the more immediate vicinity of the four nuclear facilities ( nuclear power plant Beznau / Paul Scherrer Institute , Gösgen , leibstadt nuclear power plant and mühleberg nuclear power plant ). In the event of a serious accident in a nuclear power plant, the measured values, especially of the MADUK probes, are also - together v. a. with meteorological data - used as a parameter to create dispersion calculations for a released radioactive cloud in order to be able to organize emergency protection for the population.
