The Alexandria National Museum ( Arabic متحف الإسكندرية القومي, DMG Matḥaf al-Iskandariyya al-qaumī , English Al-Saad Bassili Pasha Palace ) is a museum in a building in the style of eclecticism located on Tariq Al-Horreya Street (formerly Rue Fouad ) in Alexandria. The building, also called Bassili Pasha Palace , was originally named after one of the most famous merchants in Alexandria and now houses the museum only. It was founded on December 31, 2003.
