Nevado de Colima National Park
The Nevado de Colima National Park is a Mexican national park near Zapotlán , Jalisco . Its main natural elements are the active volcano Volcan de Colima with a height of 3730 meters and the extinct volcano Nevado de Colima with a height of 4380 meters; the latter is covered with snow in the winter months. The area recognized by the IUCN as a Category II National Park is one of the major tourist attractions in the Colima region .
The Nevado de Colima is around 500 meters higher than the Fuego de Colima and allows you to look into the crater from above: the view is often crowned with a column of steam from the active volcano.
