The Río Negro National Park is located in the northeast of the Alto Paraguay Department on the Bolivian border in Paraguay . It has an area of ​​1238 km² and is part of the Pantanal , the largest inland wetland in the world. The Paraguayan Pantanal is an extremely important ecosystem. The Río Negro National Park differs from the other alluvial areas in Brazil and Bolivia because it lies between two other ecoregions - Cerrado and Chaco Seco - which creates a unique biodiversity.
