Carel Balth
Carel Balth (born November 25, 1939 in Rotterdam ) is a Dutch artist. His work is characterized by the innovative use of new media. The synthesis of light, movement and space occupies a central position, and the possibilities of perception are examined. Balth uses a variety of tools to examine human perception using unconventional means and materials from vinyl to plexiglass to deliberately pixelated images. Balth's work was influenced by Mondriaan and Lucio Fontana .
