Formosa National University
The National Formosa University ( Chinese 國立 虎尾 科技 大學 , Pinyin Guólì Hǔwěi Kējì Dàxué - "Huwei State Scientific and Technical University"), English name National Formosa University , abbreviation NFU , is a state university of the Republic of China (Taiwan) . It is located in Huwei Township, west of Douliu in Yunlin County .
Founded in 1980, the university has been the only university in Taiwan to bear the historical name of Formosa Island in its name since 2004 . It has over 10,000 students, and Wen-Yuh Jywe has been president since 2013.
