The natural monument group of trees made of 2 beeches is located about 4 km northwest of Madfeld in the urban area of Brilon on Diebesweg. The trees were designated as a natural monument (ND) in 2001 with the Hoppecketal landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The natural monument is surrounded by the nature reserve Brilon plateau .

The two red beeches of the ND are so close together that they are perceived as a single tree. The ND is located in the middle of agricultural land. The immediate area is used as a field. There is a wayside shrine next to the ND .
Prohibitions and Commandments
As with other natural tree monuments, it was prohibited to damage, uproot, excavate or separate parts of it or otherwise impair its growth or appearance. There is also a ban on fixing or strengthening the eaves area of the natural monument and on attaching, storing and depositing substances or objects in the area of the natural monument that may endanger or impair the appearance or the existence of the natural monument. This also includes pesticides, organic or mineral fertilizers, soil improvers and animal feed.
The appearance can be impaired in particular by attaching raised ladders, high hunting seats, fences and advertising media. It is also forbidden to fill, backfill, excavate and excavate or to change the shape of the ground in any other way. The prohibition also includes excavations for the purpose of laying cables.
As for other tree natural monuments, there is a bid to get it through appropriate care measures.
