The natural monument group of trees made of 2 beeches is located about 4 km northwest of Madfeld in the urban area of Brilon on Diebesweg. The trees were designated as a natural monument (ND) in 2001 with the Hoppecketal landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The natural monument is surrounded by the nature reserve Brilon plateau .

The two red beeches of the ND are so close together that they are perceived as a single tree. The ND is located in the middle of agricultural land. The immediate area is used as a field. There is a wayside shrine next to the ND .
