The Hudebuchen natural monument is located south of Oberschledorn in the urban area of Medebach . The trees were designated as a natural monument (ND) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2003 with the Medebach landscape plan. The Hudebuchen there are two groups of trees, consisting of three or five beech trees exist. Some of the trees have grown together at the base. The two groups of trees stand in a wide grassland area and are a landscape element that can be seen from afar. The diameter of the trees at chest height when they were designated as a natural monument in 2003 was around 60 cm. The freestanding oak natural monument stands east on the same grassland area. Both natural monuments are a relic of the former pasture use.
