Natural monument road

The Strasse natural monument is located in the Hollagaß parcel in the Damüls municipality in the Bregenz Forest , Vorarlberg , Austria . This natural monument is a striking rock incision, which gives the impression of a historic, now abandoned, heavily overgrown road.

location

The Hollagaß parcel and this natural monument road are located at the eastern end of the Damüls community, around 150 meters above the Alpe Brand (also: Brandalpe ) at around 1650  m above sea level. A. It is around 800 meters as the crow flies to the municipal boundary of Au and around 1100 meters to that of Fontanella .

Emergence

This natural monument was created from a natural rock demolition in the flysch rock , in which the folded, clayey sandstones have slid towards the valley, but not mainly towards the valley. This rock demolition got stuck at this point and created the natural monument.
