Natureg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Natureg (also NATUREG ) is the abbreviation for NATUrschutzREGister Hessen , a database and GIS-supported nature conservation information system of the state of Hessen .

With the system the nature conservation-relevant data of the federal state are administered internally. The so-called Natureg viewer is available to the public as a reading interface, according to the authorities, “an important instrument for environmental education. It bundles all nature conservation data centrally in one place and clearly shows which rare animal and plant species are in the neighborhood. "

The Hessian Implementation Act for the Federal Nature Conservation Act (HAGBNatSchG) has provided the basis since 2010 :

"(1) The nature conservation authorities keep registers for their area of responsibility, in which all Natura 2000 areas, nature conservation and landscape protection areas, natural monuments, protected landscape elements and all properties that are subject to legal restrictions in favor of nature conservation are to be entered.

(2) A nature conservation information system (NATUREG) is set up for the country. The state authorities, the lower nature conservation authorities and the other public planning agencies transmit the nature conservation data collected in the context of their responsibilities or tasks to NATUREG. [...] In NATUREG, the transmitted data is processed, summarized in a suitable way and made accessible to everyone, unless the protection requirements of the animals or plants to be protected conflict. "

- § 4 HAGBNatSchG

With the viewer, for example, the location and size of nature reserves , natural monuments (in subregions), landscape protection areas and other protected areas in Hesse can be displayed.
