Nazri Mohammad
Nazri Mohammad (* around 1960 ) is an Afghan warlord and politician.
Life
Nazri Mohammad was a commander of the Northern Alliance and fought against the Taliban during the Afghan Civil War (1989-2001) under Ahmed Shah Massud .
Since the war in Afghanistan since 2001 , he has acted independently and brought important smuggling routes under his control and took part in drug and weapons smuggling. His units were considered very brutal.
From 2004, his troops formed the outer Afghan protective ring for the military camp in Badakhshan .
Nazri Mohammad was considered the protégé of the former Defense Minister and Vice President Mohammed Qasim Fahim, who died in 2014 .
He is currently (December 2011) Mayor of Faizabad .
