Neil Landstrumm

Neil Landstrumm , actually Neil MacPherson Sutherland, is a Scottish techno producer and graphic artist . He is the founder and owner of the techno and design label Scandinavia . In addition to his music career, he works as a graphic designer for MTV , Rockstar Games and The Magnificents .

Landstrumm was signed by producer Cristian Vogel , with whom he is also friends, for his label Mosquito Records . With him he formed the music project Blue Arsed Fly . His debut single The Paskal EP was released in 1995 on the Mosquito Records label. Later productions appeared on the label Planet Mu , which was considered the most influential label in the field of techno in England at the time.

Since then, Landstrumm has released numerous productions, including with Tresor Records , Peacefrog , Sativae and Sonic Groove. The title of the last Tresor album " She took a bullet meant for me " refers to a hostage drama in Brazil in which a bus was kidnapped and the hostage, a woman, was shot. Landstrumm's earlier productions were clearly part of the four-to-the-floor techno genre. Newer productions, especially those for Planet Mu, would be more dubstep. He is considered an important producer of the genre.
