Half nelson

In the half-nelson, a hand is placed under the armpit of the opponent on his neck and pushed forward. This handle is of only limited use as a holding technique; more often it is used to force the opponent to the ground or to turn him in a ground fight to put him on his back.

Double Nelson

The double nelson fixes the opponent more strongly. Here both arms are passed under the armpits of the opponent and the hands are folded behind his neck. Excessive use threatens cervical vertebrae injuries .
