Nominal delivery rate

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nominal delivery indicates the delivery rate of a pump according to the valid DIN standards.

In the area of fire brigades in Germany, the nominal delivery rate for centrifugal fire pumps is always given at 8 bar pressure. A portable pump 8 (TS8) delivers at least 800 liters of water per minute at an output pressure of 8 bar . A fire fighting group vehicle 16 (LF 16) delivers at least 1600 liters of water per minute at an output pressure of 8 bar. The real delivery rate is usually considerably higher.
