Nepalese measures of measure
Traditional measures of measure in Nepal were mainly used to measure grain and legumes .
units
- Basic unit: 1 mana = 0.545 liters
- 2 manas = 1 kuda
- 4 kudas = 1 pathi
- 20 pathis = 1 muri
Measuring device
Standardized bronze vessels were used for measuring. The vessels were given a royal seal after the oak. It seems that after the coronation of a new monarch, vessels that had already been calibrated were checked again by the calibration office and given the new ruler's seal.
