Nerlich was a Finnish death metal band from Helsinki , which was formed in 2003 and split again in 2008.

history

The band was formed in late 2003. Together they developed the first songs and released their self-titled demo in February 2004. Since the band was not satisfied with the result, the group recorded another demo with a different line-up for a few months. The demo was recorded in October under the name Insane Creations - Inorganic Echoes in the Cursed Studio under the direction of J. Loikas. The demo was also included on the split release Embalmed Madness , which also featured Gorgasm (later Gorod ) and Decoherence. The split-release appeared in April 2005. The next demo Promo in 2005 appeared with a new line-up. However, this recording was also unsatisfactory for the band. Towards the end of the year the band recorded their debut album Defabricated Process under the direction of J. Loikas in the Cursed Studio. The recordings were finished in January 2006. In May 2006, Conqueror of Thorns Records released a demo compilation called Substantial Alteration of the Cadaver as the Insects Breed in Its Entrails - the Stench Is Stimulating Senses (Causing Orgasm) . At the time of release, the group signed a contract with Old School Metal Records and released their debut album Defabricated Process with this label in January 2007 . After the recordings, the line-up changed again. The group recorded the Innards EP and released it in the summer of 2008 before the band split up in October 2009. A year later the EP was re- released via Nihilist Holocaust Records .

style

The band plays an aggressive form of Death Metal, whereby influences from Doom Metal can also be heard here and there.
