Splanchnic nerve imus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nervus splanchnicus imus ( Latin for lowest visceral nerve ) is a variable sympathetic nerve . When it occurs, it originates in the lateral horn of the twelfth thoracic segment of the spinal cord , from where it sends its preganglionic (i.e., anterior to the ganglion) fibers to the renal plexus and the aorticorenale ganglion .
