The New Lichtenegg is an Outbound Spur castle on 790 m above sea level. NHN 300 meters west of Lichtenegg , a district of the Illmensee municipality in the Sigmaringen district ( Baden-Württemberg ).
The castle was built around 1300 and mentioned in 1309 as "castrum". In 1372 the Lords of Ramsberg lived on Lichtenegg .
