The New Reinsurance Company ( NewRe ), based in Zurich, is an internationally active Swiss reinsurance company that belongs to the Munich Re Group .

NewRe employs around 120 people and achieved an annual result of 128 million Swiss francs in 2017. The company was founded in Zurich in 1926 , relocated to Geneva in 1940 and finally returned in 2009.
