Memorial to the victims of the Holocaust

The New Jewish Cemetery in Merano , the second largest city in the Italian province of South Tyrol , was built in 1907 thanks to the then President of the Jewish Community. The Jewish cemetery is located west of the Merano train station and has an area of 900 square meters. The cemetery is adjacent to the municipal cemetery. The cemetery, which is still used by the Jewish community of Merano today, replaced an old Jewish cemetery, from which around 666 graves were transferred.
